British European Space Agency astronaut Tim Peake spent 6 months living and working onboard the International Space Station from December 2015 to June 2016. He is challenging schools to swim, cycle and run a combined total of 400 km – the distance from Earth to the International Space Station.
This challenge can be organised and hosted internally by school staff. Alternatively, schools can request the assistance of the Triathlon Trust events team, to provide competent staff support, top quality bikes and other necessary equipment. For more information, please use the Event Enquiries Form.
“Mission Complete!” – Participants will each receive a certificate with the option to purchase an exclusive Space to Earth challenge medal.
Swim/Cycle/Run 400km in any proportion. Evidence from previous challenges may also be used.
Swim at a local leisure centre under lifeguard supervision. Cycle on country paths, closed roads and safe open roads. Run in a local park or country trail. Always cycle with a helmet!
